This has become a much debated issue in the recent times religious conversions. The opposition has made it a political issue, and there has been uproar in the parliament many times the parliament got adjourned due religious conversions in the current winter session.
Well this is an individual choice to follow a religion, the constitution of India gives its citizens freedom to practice any religion enshrined in article 25. There have been allegations against the ruling BJP and saffron affiliates for favoring conversions and they are trying to convert the Muslims and Hindus under the program Ghar Wapsi.
The reconversion is not a new issue it was prevalent from the pre- independence Era, when the Christian missionary were trying to convert the poor class in return of some lucrative benefits. However one cannot deny the stellar role in education especially among the ethnic minorities especially among tea tribes who have been emancipated them from the dark and dingy dun
In my opinion what saffron brigades are doing is correct if Muslims rulers when they came to India and ruled India they converted the Hindus into Muslims same is the case with Christian missionary’s at time of BRITISHSER’S they came with a motive to uplift and educate the poor peasants and the neglected class of India but there sole motive was to promote Christianity.
Today the political parties are raising voice against B.J.P they the saffron party is inclined to make India a Hindu rastra, actually the parties like congress ARE GING IT a communal color and trying to politicizing the situation for their own gains to improve their image in the eyes of people of India.
